Curating a Vintage Furniture Rental Collection...

Curating a vintage furniture rental collection is a time consuming endeavour.  
We dove in head first with out first sofa, the pink Rosalyn, and never looked back, continuing to add 'new to us' vintage and antique pieces as often as possible.

With that very first sofa purchase, we had the vintage furniture bug...we bought as much and as often as possible to grow the collection.  That of course wasn't as consistent as we hoped, sometimes missing out on pieces at antique sales, or vintage markets by mere moments. 
But we grew with a lot of love.

Sometimes, we were able to grow our inventory with matching pieces - oh what a treat!  This is where we started creating lounge ideas.  We were able to use a matching sofa + chair, add in a coffee and end table, a throw rug, and voila, we had lounge packages.  The lounge idea has expanded to find ways to seat lots of people, all while keeping with the style the couple has designed their day with.

With curating this vast amount of vintage furniture, it requires a lot of space to house it all. Our collection grew from our garage, to a single storage unit...into 2 storage units, then three...and at one point we had four 10 x 20 units to hold our inventory.  This is where we knew it was time to move into a larger space that could hold at least 75% of our inventory.

Having the studio space allows for clients to come in and view pieces for themselves, not relying as heavily on photos on a website to see the colours; and now able to sit on and try out the pieces prior to renting.

Currently, we are downsizing some of our 'not so popular' styles, making room for the pieces we truly love and giving space to the pieces we don't get to use as often as we would like.
With styles coming and going, we are always on trend watch, and staying ahead of the wedding design curve.
