She is as beautiful on the inside, as she is out! ~ image from Gingersnap Photography ~ A little bit about Ashia: I've been modelling for about two years. I originally started because getting my picture taken was something that made me so nervous, and I wanted to overcome that. And then I started meeting the people involved and it became something that I really loved. I'm from Lethbridge Alberta, but I've lived all over. I'm studying geography in university, I've worked as a professional baker, and a horse back rider and at a yoga studio. I love trying new things, visiting new places and sweets. I am so pleased she is spending the day with us, and we will be able to photograph her in our gorgeous boho styled, romantic evening picnic.

Looking forward to next Tuesday, June 20th with everyone! ~Heather Have you seen this sweet little food truck around Calgary with its pink gingham siding? The Farm Girls Food Truck is catering our workshop on June 20th A little bit more about Farm Girls: My sister, Amy and I grew up in rural Alberta. My parents farmed a few acres and we grew up eating homemade food, right from my mom’s garden. Our family gatherings centered on good food made from scratch. When we decided to translate our love of food into a business, my sister and I led the charge with our whole family behind us. Our farm to table, or ‘farm to truck’, philosophy means that our home-made creations are prepared with the freshest ingredients. Our dishes are inspired by our mother’s and grandmother’s cooking and we hope they create a sense of nostalgia for our customers. Family is at the heart of Farm Girls and our tradition for full table feasts of farm fresh and delicious creations is what inspires our menu. We serve up comfort food made from scratch with a gourmet twist. Our whole family (there are 21 of us in our immediate family) has been involved in helping us build Farm Girls, the first gourmet comfort food truck of its kind in Calgary. - Farm Girl Jocelyn I can't wait for our picnic dinner at the Workshop! It is going to be so good...and look cute too!
You can still register for your seat...contact heather@orangetrunk.ca to register. You guys...we have Chantal from Knitatude, YYC Girl Gang & No Shit Biz Tips to talk with us! whoop whoop Talk about girl power! She is a talented maker, brilliant up lifter of women, and BS buster in business!!! ~ photo by Logee Photography ~ A little bit more about Chantal: Chantal is the boss babe knitter behind the local knitting company Knitatude here in Calgary, the President of the all female entrepreneur networking community YYC Girl Gang and the owner of No Shit Biz Tips – a new venture in cutting the BS advice for makers in the small biz world. Known for her potty mouth and bright purple hair, Chantal has made it her mission to do one thing: Help others. What once started as a random knitting hobby blossomed to a side hustle, and in turn the roller coaster of entrepreneurship came. The struggles, the highs and lows and of course the steep learning curves. With the thought of “God – I wish people told me this shit before I started” No Shit Biz Tips was born to do just that. With over 7 years in the broadcasting industry, and 5 alone in the Traditional Media advertising sales world and currently residing at Bell Media (CTV, Virgin Radio, CJAY and Funny 1060), Chantal shoots straight from the hip and is here to talk about “How to say No” as a small business owner, and tips on how to stay organized in the hectic life of a small biz owner. Fun Facts: Chantal hates jeans and pants, lives in tights and crushes cheddar flavoured popcorn like a champ. She swears like a sailor (her fav is the F word) and loves manatees and sloths – so much in fact that she has adopted 4 sloths in Costa Rica. so buckle up, for this 'shoot from the hip' gal who tells it like it is...and will teach us lots about small business ownership!

She is creating some fun designs for us, and I can't wait to show off her work!!! Check out a little bit more about Pink Umbrella Designs below and on their website. A little bit about Pink Umbrella Designs from Shanna: WE {REALLY} LOVE PAPER Pink Umbrella Designs is a boutique wedding invitation and graphic design company based in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, Cochrane Alberta. We love working with you to create something that uniquely fits your style, so that your guests and clients can see your personality the moment they receive your invitation or marketing piece.
